I agree that this folder in some cases can be very useful, but in most cases it\u2019s only a \u201cbed history residue\u201d and most of us want to remove it. In the desktop operating systems is easy to do this, but in server systems seems that this functionality is missing.<br \/>\nSo, it is not true, we just have to install it. Here is the step-by-step guide how we can do that in Windows Server 2012R2 (it is very similar in Server 2012):<\/p>\n<p>Open <strong>Server manager<\/strong> and in <strong>dashboard<\/strong> click on <strong>Add Roles and Features<\/strong>. Right click on C disk and select Properties. Now there is the Disk Cleanup button like on desktop operating systems. Click on it.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/em-soft.si\/myblog\/elvis\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/AddRF4.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-379\" alt=\"Step4\" src=\"https:\/\/em-soft.si\/myblog\/elvis\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/AddRF4-221x300.png\" width=\"221\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/em-soft.si\/myblog\/elvis\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/AddRF4-221x300.png 221w, https:\/\/em-soft.si\/myblog\/elvis\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/AddRF4.png 374w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 221px) 100vw, 221px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>After the disk cleanup process will finish, you will be able to see a lot of file categories to clean, but there are no system files from the old installation. To discover this type of files, you have to click on Clean up system files.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/em-soft.si\/myblog\/elvis\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/AddRF5.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-382\" alt=\"Step5\" src=\"https:\/\/em-soft.si\/myblog\/elvis\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/AddRF5-243x300.png\" width=\"243\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/em-soft.si\/myblog\/elvis\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/AddRF5-243x300.png 243w, https:\/\/em-soft.si\/myblog\/elvis\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/AddRF5.png 388w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 243px) 100vw, 243px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>After this process will finish, you will be able to see all old windows installation files. At this point you have to select them and click on OK.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/em-soft.si\/myblog\/elvis\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/AddRF6.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-383\" alt=\"Step6\" src=\"https:\/\/em-soft.si\/myblog\/elvis\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/AddRF6-245x300.png\" width=\"245\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/em-soft.si\/myblog\/elvis\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/AddRF6-245x300.png 245w, https:\/\/em-soft.si\/myblog\/elvis\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/AddRF6.png 390w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 245px) 100vw, 245px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This will remove all old windows installations and system will looks clean, but before you delete old windows installations be sure, that everything is working with the new OS.
